Have you ever taken the the time to explore your own city? Looked at it with new eyes, through a visitor's eyes? That's exactly what I've been trying to do lately. When I travel somewhere new I am always filled with awe and wonder. When is the last time you have felt that same tug at your heart when exploring your home town? During my last few months here I have been trying to do just that. As I've been saying my goodbyes, I have been documenting the adventures we take around our town. St. Louis never fails to provide a good time, amazing food, and unforgettable memories. Let me know in the comments what your favorite things to do in STL are!

As I only have 11 days (3 work days!) before I leave, the nervousness and excitement is certainly starting to set in. One thing I do believe is that if something makes you scared and excited at the same time, it's probably something you should do. It is a sign that though it may be challenging, it will most certainly be rewarding as well. I have no idea what all this trip has in store for us, but I know I will come back a different- a better- person. This is something I have to do even though I will miss everyone immensely. It has been my biggest dream for as long as I can remember. I have put in hours of preparation, painstakingly saved my money, and worked harder than I ever have the last two years. Going on this trip will be more than an adventure of a lifetime. For so long it was a goal, a dream, that seemed so out of reach, but was somehow we reached it. With hard work and determination we were able to make happen. It will be proof that the average person can achieve great things. More importantly it will be proof to myself that I can truly do whatever I put my mind to, even if it takes time. I hope that this journey inspires people, and that the resources I provide can help make other's dreams achievable as well. I encourage you to comment below and let me know what kind of posts you'd like to see from me during my time abroad. If there is a certain topic that is confusing to you or something you need some insider help with, I can assure you you're not alone. Reach out and I will be more than happy to give advice or find someone who can!

This will most likely be the last time I have a chance to sit down and write a post before I leave. I have a laundry list of things to do before we take off and not a lot of time. The next time I write I'll be In Costa Rica! #ADVENTUREON !
